Keeping Your Business Immaculate

When we installed a suggestion box in the entryway of our business, I was amazed to see how many customers responded. After we started going through the suggestions, we realized that there was one request that we kept seeing--the need for a cleaner store. We decided to make a few changes to keep our place cleaner, including hiring a professional cleaning service. The results were incredible. Customers started to comment on how clean our place was, instead of the need for dramatic changes. We also noticed a boost in our sales because customers felt more comfortable in our store. House Cleaning Tasks To Get Your Home Exterior Ready For Spring

by Lee Porter

Springtime is a season of new growth and new opportunities that are represented by the new growth that occurs in your yard's landscaping and surrounding neighborhood grasses, bulbs, and trees. But before you can fully enjoy and appreciate all the new spring growth in your yard's landscaping, you need to clean up after the last couple of seasons and their damage. Here are some ways you can clean up the outside of your home to improve its appearance and your enjoyment.

Pressure Wash Exterior Surfaces

The outside of your home is a collection point for dirt and debris accumulation over the winter, especially decking, concrete patios, home siding, and patio furniture. If you have a pressure washer, this will make the cleaning job much easier and quicker and will help you thoroughly remove stuck-on debris, such as bird and insect droppings.

Just be sure you have the right pressure washer tips to spray off a variety of surfaces. For example, you cannot spray off wood decking with a high-pressure tip that you would use to clean concrete, as it will gouge and damage the surface of the wood. They come in a range of pressures to clean off anything from wood to roofing or concrete. You can also add a cleaning solution to help clean off surfaces outside your home. Follow any recommendations for using solutions around landscaping so you don't damage the vegetation as it is just growing back from winter.

Clean Windows

The amount of dirt and hard water deposits that can accumulate on the outside of your home's windows can quickly cloud over the view from inside your home. Springtime also provides a great time to wash from your windows the residue from fall and winter.

Clean the outside of your windows properly to make sure all the debris has been removed. And you may need a few pieces of equipment that you don't need to clean the inside of the windows. The inside of the windows are surfaces you can easily clean with some spray cleaner and a microfiber cloth, but the outside needs some big guns in cleaning, such as a window squeegee and a cleaning bucket and rag.

Mix up a solution of warm soapy water in the bucket and use the squeegee sponge to apply it onto the exterior window, loosening all the dirt and debris. Then, after you run the squeegee over the top of the window, wipe its collection of debris and water onto the cleaning rag. Continue this over the entire window working from top to bottom to make the windows sparkle.
